Super Sevens Series

Since 2009, when the first national sevens series was set up, the Super Sevens Series has gone through a lot of changes to evolve into what it has become today. From changing hands, venues and format to now being run and governed by rugby people for rugby people who have a genuine passion for the game of sevens. SSS is run as a non-profit making entity but with a real focus on running a professional Series. Our ethos is based entirely on the following: to help develop and promote sevens as a sport; to support grass roots clubs as well as professional and national teams; and most importantly to provide a stage upon which sevens players can showcase and develop their skills.

With new management, exciting new venues and a whole host of talent, the Super Sevens Series looks to take a step forward to creating a sustainable and action packed spectacle for all rugby enthusiasts to enjoy!

This year sees 10 teams, 3 venues and 3 unbelievably exciting days of rugby, it promises to be a real nail-biter with all 10 core teams capable of clinching the sought after SSS Trophy in 2016.
